O R D E R

This writ petition was filed alleging that the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jammalamadugu, Kadapa District, was harassing the petitioner and her family

members at the behest of respondents 2 to 5 herein and pressurizing her for repayment of the amounts allegedly due from the petitioner to the second respsondent.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jammalamadugu, Kadapa District, filed a counter-affidavit denying the allegations leveled by the petitioner. In para 3 of the counter-affidavit, he specifically stated that the police never harassed, threatened or interfered with the civil disputes, life and liberty of the petitioner and her family members. He further stated that the police personnel never visited her house asking for the whereabouts of her husband. He also stated that no complaints were received against the petitioner or her husband and no cases were registered against them warranting interference by the police. The clear and categorical stand of the police, as set out in the above counteraffidavit, is taken on record. In the light thereof, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
