HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Writ Petition No.433 of 2011 ORDER:

The relief sought for in the Writ Petition is to issue a mandamus to declare the action of the 2nd respondent, in issuing the impugned order dated 19.11.2010 declaring the petitioner as ineligible to contest in any elections to be held to the 4th respondentCorporation for a period of three years from the date of issuance of the impugned order, as arbitrary and illegal. The impugned order was suspended by the order of this Court in WPMP No.537 of 2011 dated 19.01.2011. The three year period, stipulated in the order dated 19.11.2010, expired more than four years ago on 19.11.2013 itself. It is evident, therefore, that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court, and the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
