Heard Sri V.S.K. Rama Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare for the respondents 1 to 4.

2. The petitioner is Anganwadi Helper of Chejerla village in Ongole Mandal of Prakasam district.

It is submitted by her that if the post of Anganwadi Worker at the same place is to be filled up, her case for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker has to be considered in terms of Memo dated 0501-2012 issued by the Director of Women Development and Child Welfare, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad which is to the effect that if the post of Anganwadi Worker is vacant in the same village and where Anganwadi Helper is qualified, she may be considered to be appointed as Anganwadi Worker, provided she has fulfilled the conditions laid down in G.O.Rt.No.102, dated 28-3-2011. It is the version of the petitioner that in the same unit, the post of Anganwadi Worker is lying vacant. Therefore, she filed the present writ petition to consider her case for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker.

She submitted a representation dated 17-8-2015 to the respondents for considering her case to the post of Anganwadi Worker.

Under these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 17-82015 submitted by the petitioner in the light of Memo dated 05-012012 and pass appropriate orders thereon having due regard to the qualifications of the petitioner for the post of

Anganwadi Worker within a period of 8 (eight) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
