I.A.No.1 of 2026 This application is filed seeking extension of time for a period of six (06) months for disposal of C.C.No.5 of 2016, which is pending on the file of the learned Principal Special Judge for Trial of SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.

The petitioner herein filed Crl.P.No.5270 of 2008 seeking a direction to Court concerned for disposal C.C.No.5 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible. This Court, vide order dated 25.08.2008, disposed of the said Criminal Petition by directing concerned Magistrate to dispose of said CC within six months from the date of the order i.e., 25.08.2008. Since the said direction was not complied with within the stipulated time, the learned Trial Judge has sought permission from time to time. Now, the learned Trial Judge has addressed a letter seeking extension of time for a period of (06) months for the disposal of C.C.No.5 of 2016. The

letter of the learned FAC Principal Special Judge for Trial of SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad dated 02.04.2026 addressed to the Registrar (Judicial) of this Court is also enclosed along with this I.A.

perusal letter dated 02.04.2026 discloses that 119 witnesses have been cited for examination in C.C.

No.5 of 2016, out of which 102 witnesses have already been examined, and the case now stands posted for crossexamination of PW-103. The officer has submitted that there has been no regular Presiding Officer in the said Court since 2025, and therefore, the calendar case could not be disposed of in accordance with the directions of this Court. It is further submitted by the officer that he assumed charge as FAC on 29.12.2025 and noticed the timeline for disposal of the case stipulated by the High Court on 02.04.2026.

Thus, present letter has been addressed.

However, considering circumstances stated above by the learned Trial Judge vide his letter cited supra, this Court hereby extends the time for a period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of

a copy of this order for disposal of C.C.No.5 of 2016 pending on the file of the learned Principal Special Judge for Trial of SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad.

I.A.No.1 is ordered accordingly.

Registry is directed to communicate this order to concerned Court immediately.
