Heard. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, this Writ Petition is being disposed of at the stage of admission. 2.

The petitioner - college alleges that on 04.12.2015, its vehicle bearing No.AP 27TW 8158 was seized by the Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (ENF), Ongole, Prakasam, the 3rd respondent, on the allegation that the chassis number of the said vehicle and the documents furnished by the owner are not tallying. The grievance of the petitioner is that though it submitted application, dated 15.12.2016, for release of the vehicle before the Deputy Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Prakasam District, the 2nd respondent, which was received by him on 19.12.2016, so far no action is taken by him. Hence, this writ petition.

Since the application was received by the competent authority only on 19.12.2016, it cannot be said that the respondent authorities were not diligent in considering the representation of the petitioner and passing appropriate orders. It is not a case of deliberate inaction.

Hence, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 15.12.2016, and pass appropriate orders thereon, as warranted by law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of

three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
