HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 17889 of 2001 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed by the petitioners, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents herein to regularize their services in the existing vacancies of Watchman and Security Guard, without insisting for educational qualifications.
When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is represented by Sri A. Venkateswara Rao, learned standing counsel for Kakatiya University, appearing for the 1st respondent, that the services of the petitioners were already regularized in the year 2013 and, hence, the lis in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication. In view of the above, the Writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. It is always open to the petitioners to agitate their rights afresh, if they have still any grievance.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petition shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
