ORDER:

Petitioner claims that she belongs to Beda (Budaga) Jangam Community, which is classified as Scheduled Caste and shown against item No.5 in the list of Andhra Pradesh (SC, ST and OBCs) Regulation of Issue of Community Certificate Act, 1993. Petitioner studied B.Sc., and M.B.A., and presently appearing for recruitment for appointment to the post of Sub-Inspector of Police. Petitioner claims that on 01.11.2018 she applied for renewal of Caste Certificate, already issued on 06.06.2016, but so far Caste Certificate is not issued. According to the petitioner, her close relatives were issued Caste Certificates pursuant to the orders of the District Collector, Karimnagar, dated 24.05.2016, whereas in the case of petitioner, Caste Certificate is not issued. 2.

Though in the prayer of Writ Petition, petitioner sought direction to issue Caste Certificate by taking note of the orders passed by the District Collector on 24.05.2016, during the course of argument, learned counsel for petitioner fairly submits that petitioner is satisfied if the directions issued to the competent authority to consider the application submitted by the petitioner to renew the Caste Certificate, already issued on 06.06.2016. 3.

Having regard to the same, without entering into the merits, the Tahsildar, Palakurthi Mandal (4th respondent) is directed to examine the representation submitted by the petitioner on 01.11.2018 through Mee-seva to renew the Caste Certificate already issued, and to pass orders as expeditiously as possible,

preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. For any reason, the competent authority is of the opinion that such application is not received in Office, he shall inform to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order, and enable the petitioner to make application afresh.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.

Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
