THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE No.983 of 2016 ORDER:

This Contempt Case was filed alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 26.04.2016 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.14435 of 2016. By the said order, this Court directed the police authorities to take suitable action upon the petitioner's complaint dated 11.04.2016 in the light of the directions of the Supreme Court in LALITA KUMARI v. GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH[1].

The Sub-Inspector of Police, Garidepally Police Station, Nalgonda District, filed a counter-affidavit stating that basing upon the petitioner's complaint dated 11.04.2016, Crime No.54 of 2016 was registered on the file of Garidepally Police Station, Nalgonda District, under Sections 420, 468 and 471 IPC.

In the light of the above statement, this Court finds no disobedience, much less willful disobedience, to the order passed by this Court warranting exercise of contempt jurisdiction.

The Contempt Case is accordingly closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
