When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Standing Counsel that the petitioner is seeking promotion to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer and during the pendency of this writ petition, the case of the petitioner was considered and he was promoted as Assistant Executive Engineer and thereafter, he was further promoted as D.E.E. on 16.3.2014 and therefore, the cause in this writ petition does not survive. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
