Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents especially respondent No.2 in not disposing of the appeal filed by the petitioner vide RCB No.6753/ 2016, dated 24.09.2016, as illegal and arbitrary'.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent-authorities to dispose of the appeal at the earliest. Learned Government Pleader states no objection, if the appeal is maintainable. 5.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four months.
