HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.16954 OF 2016 O R D E R :

This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the authorities in keeping the Passport application of the Minor-petitioner on hold for re-issuing the passport after carrying out the changes in the date of birth from 16.08.2010 to 16.08.1999 even after submission of all necessary documents along with passport application form as illegal and arbitrary.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the present writ petition is covered by the judgment reported in Durgempudi Venkata Raghava versus Passport Officer, Hyderabad[1] dated 23.12.2004 and the same is not disputed by Sri J.Bhasker Rao, learned Standing counsel for Central Government.

For the reasons alike, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the aforesaid order. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.

A copy of the order in Durgempudi Venkata Raghava versus Passport Officer, Hyderabad[2] dated 23.12.2004 is to be annexed to this order.
