Heard Sri S. Surender Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned G.P. for Prohibition and Excise.

The petitioner is the owner of the JCB vehicle bearing Registration No.TS-07-GG-2851 alleged to have been involved in cutting Shendi trees. The writ petition is filed on the apprehension that the JCB vehicle of the petitioner would be seized. As the petitioner only asserts that he was engaged by the land owner for levelling the ground, and he has not committed any offence, if the JCB vehicle of the petitioner is to be seized, the respondent shall follow due process prescribed in law, and communicate the order in writing to the petitioner before effecting seizure.
