THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR W.P.No.9219 of 2014

ORDER

The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein were not providing police protection to the Mandal Surveyor of Golugonda Mandal, Visakhaptnam District, as per the letter dated 06.01.2014 of the Mandal Surveyor, Golugonda Mandal. The survey in this regard has to be carried out in the lands situated in various survey numbers of Pappusettipalem Village in Golugonda Mandal.

2. Sri V.V.N. Narayana Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners, placed on record the letter dated 22.04.2014 addressed by the Tahsildar, Golugonda Mandal to the Station House Officer, Golugonda Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, wherein he sought necessary police bandobasth to be arranged for carrying out the survey.

3. It is now stated by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, relying on the written instructions dated 13.07.2015 received from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Golugonda Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, that earlier the police authorities were busy with elections and therefore they were unable to provide necessary assistance for carrying out the survey. As the said process was completed, she now states that as and when the petitioner approaches the respondent police seeking protection, they would be provided with necessary assistance for carrying out the survey operations.

4. The Writ Petition is therefore disposed of directing the third respondent to contact the second respondent and take appropriate action in the matter as per the letter dated 22.04.2014 of the second respondent. It shall be open to the petitioners to follow up with the police and the revenue authorities.

Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
