Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
In view of disposal of this Writ Petition in the manner indicated below, the notice to respondent No.5 is dispensed with.
The petitioner is working as Associate Engineer in Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) and staying at Chanda Nagar with her friends in a flat. She decided to marry one D.Vijaya Mohan, who is her childhood friend and presently working at Bangalore. Though she informed the same to her family members, they were against the marriage on the ground that the boy belongs to other community, which is considered to be inferior to her community. After informing her parents, her parents came to Hyderabad on 05.02.2017 and forcibly took her to Amalapuram and kept her under house arrest. On the pretext that she left the certificates in Hyderabad, she came out of the house arrest of the parents and came to Hyderabad along with her family members on 25.02.2017. She went to her office situated at Madhapur and escaped from her parents. On information to Vijaya Mohan, he came to Hyderabad and they both got married on 27.02.2017 as per the Arya Samaj rites. She informed the Police at Chanda Nagar and they entered the
same in the General Dairy. She also informed her parents about their marriage through WhatsApp by sending marriage photos. In those circumstances, she is apprehending threat to her life from her parents. The present Writ Petition is filed seeking protection to her and her husband's life from the hands of her father.
The Writ Petition does not contain any complaint/representation to the concerned Police where she is staying/working, except the representation to the Superintendent of Police, East Godavari, given on 28.02.2017. In the circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to submit appropriate complaint to the concerned Police Station if she needs any protection and it is open to the concerned Police to take stock of the situation and take necessary action in accordance with law. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. The miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed.
