ORDER
Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Fisheries appearing for respondents 1 to 4.
This Writ Petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the application dated 24.11.2014 of the petitioners for registering New Fresh Water Aquaculture Fish Farms in Sy.Nos.463/1, 463/2, 474/2 situated at Sanarudravaram Village, Kalidindi Mandal, Krishna District, as per G.O.Ms.No.7, dated 16.03.2013, as arbitrary and illegal.
Petitioners are residents of Sanarudravaram Village, Kalidindi Mandal, Krishna District. They are owners of the lands in aforesaid survey numbers. As the said lands are not fit for agricultural operation, they submitted an application dated 24.11.2014 to the respondents to permit them to convert the said lands into Fresh Water Aquaculture Fish Ponds for the purpose of carrying on fish culture as per G.O.Ms.No.7, dated 16.3.2013. As no action has been taken on the said application, the petitioners made a representation to the respondents on 20.03.2015. But, so far no orders have been passed by the respondents.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the application dated 24.11.2014 made by the petitioners in terms of G.O.Ms.No.7, dated 16.03.2013 by passing appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
