This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to set aside Memo No.CGM(HRD)/GM(S)/PO.I/984-A2/07, dt.19.12.2007. Mr. S.M. Subhani, learned counsel for the petitioner, submitted that after the impugned order was passed, whereunder the petitioner was directed to show cause as to why he shall not be reverted from Divisional Engineer to Assistant Divisional Engineer, an order was passed by respondent No.3 on 26.2.2015 repatriating the petitioner to respondent No.2 - Corporation and that questioning the same the petitioner has filed W.P. No.5503 of 2015.

In the light of the above subsequent events which led to petitioner's repatriation, question of respondent No.3 going ahead with the proposed reversion of the petitioner would not arise. In that view of the matter, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel to dismissal of the writ petition, interim order dt.8.1.2008, granted in W.P.M.P. No.284 of 2008, which was extended on 4.2.2008, shall stand vacated, and W.V.M.P. Nos.2184 of 2008, 1562 and 3387 of 2009 and W.P.M.P. No.46489 of 2013, shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
