THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR W.P. NO. 5509 of 2015 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The petitioner has filed the present writ petition questioning the inaction of the second respondent in not considering his application dated 20.11.2014 for renewal of his passport as well as for change of his date of birth.
On 6.3.2015 the writ petition was admitted and it is coming up for counter.
Learned counsel for the petitioner now submits that the petitioner's request for change of date of birth appears not feasible at this stage, as the petitioner will have to move the civil court for declaration, hence he does not press the said relief and he requested to dispose of the writ petition with regard to other relief for renewal of the petitioner's passport.
In view of that, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application for renewal of his passport without alteration of date of birth and pass appropriate orders expeditiously in accordance with law. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs. _________________________ VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR, J
