This Criminal Petition, under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/ accused, for grant of anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest in Crime No.29 of 2017 on the file of the RC Puram Police Station, Tirupati UPD District, registered for the offences under Section 3(1)(r)(s) of SCs & STs (POA) Amendment Act, 2015.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused, learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-State and perused the record.

The learned counsel for the petitioner/ accused would submit that there is a direction in the Writ Petition with regard to stay of arrest of the petitioner/ accused. The investigation is completed. Charge-sheet is filed. There is specific allegation against the petitioner/ accused that he abused the de-facto complainant in the name of caste in the presence of villagers in public view. Under these circumstances, it is not appropriate to allow this application. 4 .

Hence, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed.
