Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With their consent, the present writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:
"to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction on the part of the respondent No.2 in not considering the stay application filed by the petitioners against the orders, dated 17-10-2016 passed by the respondent No.4 under Section 6 of the Andhra Pradesh Land Encroachments Act, 1905 as arbitrary, illegal, abdication of the statutory duty cast on him and violative of the fundamental rights guaranteed to the petitioners under Articles 14, 19 & 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondent No.3 to consider the stay application filed along with the Appeal against orders, dated 17-10-2016 passed by the respondent No.4."

By an order dated 27.10.2016 this Court while ordering status quo for a period of one week, directed the learned Government Pleader to find out the status of the appeal. The matter was again adjourned on 04.11.2016 to enable the learned Government Pleader to get appropriate instructions. Today when the matter is taken up,
CPK,J WP_36653_2016 learned Government Pleader states that the appeal and the stay application filed by the petitioner are still pending. 4.
Having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order dated 17.10.2016 passed by the 4th respondent as early as possible, in accordance with law. However, if the stay application filed along with the appeal is still pending consideration, the same shall be disposed of within a period of four (04) to eight (08) weeks from today. Till such time, status quo as on today in all respects of the property, which is subject matter of dispute in this writ petition shall be maintained. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. _______________________ JUSTI CE C.
