THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.19535 OF 2017 ORDER:

Petitioner was recruited as Hostel Welfare Officer Grade - II in the year 2003 under reservation quota for the disabled persons (Orthopaedically Handicapped). Petitioner claims that he is fully qualified and eligible to be promoted as Hostel Welfare Officer Grade - I. However, he is not considered for promotion. According to the petitioner, certain illegal promotions were made to the unqualified persons and so far as those promotions are not reviewed. He further submits that the rule of reservation in promotions is applied since the year 2011 and in terms thereof, vacancies are reserved to be filled up by considering orthopaedically handicapped persons and this rule is not given effect to him causing undue hardship and suffering. As early as on 06.02.2015, representation was submitted by the petitioner, but there was no response. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted further representation, dated 28.03.2017, ventilating his grievance. Hence, this Writ Petition.

Since representations submitted by the petitioner are not responded so far, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Director of Schedule Caste Development Department, State of Telangana, the 3rd respondent, to consider the representations, dated 06.02.2015 and 28.03.2017, submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a

period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
