THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN CIVIL REVISION PETITION No.4532 of 2015 ORDER:

This revision is filed against the order of the District Consumer Forum, Visakhapatnam in C.C. No.332 of 2012 dated 25.06.2012. Sri T. Sudhakar Reddy, Learned Counsel for the petitioner, would submit that the Consumer Forum lacks jurisdiction to entertain the present dispute. The petitioner has a statutory remedy of appeal under the Consumer Disputes Act. All these questions, including that of jurisdiction, can be raised in the appeal. I see no reason, therefore, to exercise discretion under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to interfere.

Leaving it open to the petitioner to avail the statutory remedy of an appeal, the Civil Revision Petition is dismissed. Registry to return the original certified copy of the order of the District Forum to the petitioner's Counsel under due acknowledgment. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No costs.
