- 2 - THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.489 OF 2018 ORDER :
W.P.No.28187 of 2017 was disposed of by this Court on 23.08.2017 granting liberty to the petitioners to make application under the A.P.Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 1971 and if such application is made, to pass orders on the said application within three months from the date of receipt of such application.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that the application was received by the respondents on 08.09.2017. Therefore, the respondents ought to have passed orders within three months. Alleging inaction, this contempt case is filed. 3.
On 23.02.2018, orders are passed in compliance of the directions issued. A copy of the order is placed on record along with the counter affidavit.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners points out that a day after filing of the contempt case, orders are passed and that there is delay of two and half months in passing the order.

It cannot be said that there is inordinate delay in passing orders and the delay was deliberate and willful. 6.
Be that as it may, the deponent expressed unconditional apology for the delay in passing orders and in appraising the Court, even before the matter was listed for consideration and before Form-I notice was issued. The apology is taken on record.

Accordingly, the Contempt case is closed. The officer is discharged from the contempt proceedings. However, he shall be careful in future in complying with the directions of this Court.
