Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue. With the consent of both parties, the present writ petition is heard at the stage of admission itself.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action on the part of the 1st respondent in not disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 03-08-2012 and in not directing the 3rd respondent to register the respective lands under their occupation in their favour by collecting the required registration and stamp fees as per law, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently, to direct the respondents to register the lands under their respective occupation by collecting required registration and stamps fees as per law. Though various grounds are raised in the writ affidavit, the learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated

03-08-2012 made by the petitioner to give permission to register the respective lands under their respective occupation in their favour after collecting necessary stamps and registration charges/fees, in accordance with law.

Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the representation made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner succeeded before the Land Grabbing Court, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 03-08-2012 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, if the same is still pending consideration, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
