HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.14265 of 2014 ORDER:

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under: "... to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus to declare the inaction of the respondent No.3 herein in taking action on the complaint dated 24.12.2013 given by the petitioner as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondent No.2 herein to forthwith take action against the respondent Nos.3 to 5 herein for dereliction of their duties."

Learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 5 brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the complaint dated 24.12.2013 lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.45 of 2014 was registered. After completion of investigation, a final report was filed on 29.02.2016 referring the case as "lack of evidence".

Since the main grievance of the petitioner is already redressed in the form of registration of crime and filing of final report, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs.
