HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 2670 of 2017 Order:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the respondents in summoning the petitioner to the Task Force Office and harassing him.

Learned Government Pleader, on the basis of written instructions, submitted that a rowdy sheet was opened against the petitioner on 07.04.1999 by Banjara Hills Police and later on it was transferred to Jubilee Hills Police Station. From the year 1994 to 2015 he was involved in sixteen (16) cases. A similar Writ Petition was filed in W.P.No.24092 of 2009 seeking a direction against the Task Force Police not to interfere with his personal liberty without due process of law. Even after filing the said Writ Petition, he was involved in two cases, out of which one is murder case. Keeping in view the history of the petitioner, though the respondents are not calling him, they have been watching the movements of the petitioner.

In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to follow due process of law in discharge of their duties in relation to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
