HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.6936 OF 2017 Date 13.09.2017 Between:

V.Sridevi ...... Petitioner AND The State of Telangana rep. by its Principal Secretary, Home Department, Secretariat, Hyderabad and others. ......Respondents

HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 6936 OF 2017 ORDER:

In this writ petition, petitioner complains inaction of respondent No.2 in acting on her complaint dated 14.02.2013.

While the petitioner addressed a letter dated 14.02.2013 to respondent No.2 making various allegations against her husband and seeking cancellation of bail granted in Crime No.111 of 2010 in C.C.No.325 of 2010 pending on the file of VII Metropolitan Magistrate, Hayathnagar and also Crime No.46 of 2017 at Satyenapally Police Station, Guntur District, by letter dated 07.01.2017, she seeks to withdraw her complaint dated 14.02.2013 in view of the compromise entered into with her husband.

Learned Government Pleader for Home (AP) had placed on record the written instructions from respondent No.2 - Inspector General of Police, CID, Women Protection Cell, DGP, Telangana, from which it is clear that petitioner's husband was convicted in C.C.No.325 of 2010 on the file of VII Metropolitan Magistrate at Hayathnagar, Cyberabad; the petitioner and her husband compromised and filed a petition to the Additional Director General of Police, CID, Hyderabad to drop complaint dated 14.02.2013; and, after due enquiry, the Additional Director General of Police, CID, TS, Hyderabad

suggested further action on the complaint dated 14.02.2013 through letter dated 17.06.2017 and reply is awaited. In the light of the written instructions from respondent No.2, and as the petitioner herself does not wish to pursue the complaint made on 14.02.2013 on account of the compromise entered into, respondent No.2 shall forthwith take appropriate decision for closure of the file which would pave the way for peaceful leaving of the petitioner with her husband.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No order as to costs.

Consequently, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
