This writ petition is filed for a writ of habeas corpus for release of one Pothina Ramana @ Potti Ramana, detenu, from preventive detention by setting aside proceedings bearing CSB No.1/PD/S3/2015, dated 14.07.2015, of respondent No.2, as confirmed by G.O.Rt.No.2284, General Administration (Law & Order) Department, dated 25.07.2015, of respondent No.1.

From the perusal of the detention order, it is clear that the period

of one year for which the detenu has been ordered to be detained is expiring within a day from now. In view of the same, it is unnecessary for this Court to adjudicate on the legality or otherwise of the detention of the detenu as he will be entitled to release from detention within the next twenty four hours.

For the above-mentioned reasons, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
