This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the impugned proceedings dated 4.10.2016 issued by the 1st respondent-District Collector, Medak District, as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, to hold that the petitioner is entitled for reinstatement as Village Revenue Officer with all consequential benefits. 2.

Heard Sri D. Balakishan Rao, learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Services.

It has been submitted by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that while the petitioner was working as Village Revenue Officer, the District Collector placed him under suspension vide proceedings dated 4.10.2016 on the ground that ACB conducted a trap against the petitioner on 27.9.2016 while the petitioner was allegedly demanding and accepting an amount of Rs.10,000/-, and that almost more than one year back the petitioner was suspended and the case of the petitioner has not been reviewed so far in terms of G.O.Ms.No.86, dated 8.3.1994. It has been contended that in terms of G.O.Ms.No.86, dated 8.3.1994, the competent authority must review the order of suspension after six months, but in the instant case, no such review has been undertaken and that the respondents are continuing the petitioner under suspension without reviewing the orders of suspension.

The learned Government Pleader for Services submits that he has obtained telephonic instructions. He has fairly conceded that no review

was conducted by the respondents in terms of G.O.Ms.No.86 dated 8.3.1994.

In view of the fact that the case of the petitioner was not reviewed in terms of G.O.Ms.No.86, dated 8.3.1994, the respondents are directed to review the case of the petitioner in terms of the above said G.O., within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. _____________________________ (ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J) 5th January, 2018 nn
