This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners/ A.1 to A.4 to quash the proceedings in Crime No.311 of 2018 of Osmania University Police Station, Hyderabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 323 and 448 of IPC and Section 3(1)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (PoA) Amendment Act, 2015 (for short 'the Act').

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners/ A.1 to A.4 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing respondent No.2/ State. Perused the record.

It is contended on behalf of the petitioners/ A.1 to A.4 that the offences committed by the petitioners/ A.1 to A.4 are compoundable before the trial Court.

Under these circumstances, the parties are entitled to compound the said offences before the trial Court as per the procedure established under law.

With the above observation, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
