THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.10689 of 2011 ORDER:

The complaint of the petitioners was that the Police Authorities were interfering in the civil disputes pending between them and the unofficial respondents.

Relying upon the written instructions dated 11.06.2015 furnished by the Station House Officer, Kothakota Police Station, Visakhapatnam District, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home informed this Court that upon the complaint made by the 2nd respondent and his wife, four cases had been registered against the petitioners on the file of the Kothakota Police Station, Visakhapatnam District. However three out of the four cases, viz., Crime Nos.78 of 2009, 24 of 2010 and 28 of 2010 ended in acquittal, while the fourth case, Crime No.25 of 2010, was disposed of. She further stated that as no other cases were registered thereafter against the petitioners, the question of the Police Authorities interfering with their life and liberty did not arise.

The aforestated stand of the Police Authorities is taken on record.

In the light thereof, the grievance of the petitioners as to the alleged Police interference no longer survives for consideration. The writ petition is accordingly closed.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
