Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue. With the consent of both the counsel, the writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself.

Questioning the action of the respondents 2 and 3 in interfering with the petitioners' peaceful possession and enjoyment over the lands admeasuring Ac.15.80 cents in Pulla village, Bhimadole Mandal, West Godavari District as illegal and arbitrary, the present writ petition has been filed. Though various grounds are raised in the writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the District Level Committee to consider the recommendations made by the Mandal Level Committee with regard to conversion of agricultural land into fish tanks, which are pending before it, at the earliest.

The 3rd respondent filed his counter stating that the Mandal Level Committee has recommended the request of the petitioners to the District Level Committee with regard to conversion of agriculture lands admeasuring Ac.15.80 cents covered by R.S.No.1108/1, 1109/2 of Pulla village into fish tanks and the matter has been pending consideration with the District Level Committee.

Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader, the 1st respondent-District Level Committee, Eluru, West Godavari District is directed to consider the recommendations made by the Mandal Level Committee with regard to conversion of agricultural lands into fish tanks and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law, if the same is still pending consideration, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
