THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 30521 of 2012 ORDER:

The petitioner-society challenged the proceedings dated 24.09.2012 passed by the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, whereby the Prohibition and Excise Superintendents in the State were instructed not to renew toddy shop licences for TCSs and TFTs running under stay orders. A consequential direction was sought to the Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Gadwal, Mahabubnagar District, to renew the petitioner-society's licence pursuant to its application dated 26.09.2012.

By interim order dated 10.10.2012, this Court directed the respondents to renew the group licences of the petitioner-society in accordance with Rule 6 of the A.P Excise (Grant of Licence to Sell Toddy, Conditions of Licence and Tapping of Excise Trees) Rules, 2007.

It is now stated that pursuant to the aforestated interim order, the respondent authorities considered the application submitted by the petitioner-society and renewed its licences.

In the light of the above stated facts, the grievance of the petitioner-society stood redressed by virtue of the action taken by the respondent authorities pursuant to the interim order. No further orders are therefore required to be passed in this Writ Petition which is accordingly closed.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
