Heard.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not implementing the resolution No.547/ 2011, dated 09.11.2011 of the Municipal Standing Committee, GVMC, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the respondents may be directed to dispose of the representation dated 09.01.2013, made for implementation of resolution dated 09.11.2011, in accordance with law, at the earliest.

Learned Standing Counsel for respondents would submit that if the said representation is still pending consideration, the respondent-authorities may be directed to pass orders, in accordance with law. 5.

Having regard to the above, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 09.01.2013, made by the petitioners, seeking implementation of the Municipal Standing Committee's resolution dated 09.11.2011, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, if not already disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 6.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
