THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.25256 of 2017 ORDER:
The grievance of the petitioners is that without registering any crime, petitioners are being called to the police station and being harassed.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the allegations made out are not true and the petitioners were never called to the police station.

In view of the respective submissions making it clear that without there being any crime registered, the calling of the petitioners to the police station would be in violation of the petitioners' rights guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution of India. If the allegations of the petitioners are found to be true subsequently, the respondents-authorities particularly respondent Nos.3 & 4 would be liable for contempt, apart from there being prosecuted for harassing the petitioners in terms of the provisions of the IPC. 4.
With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs and as a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed. No costs. __________________________________ JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM Date:31-07-2017.
