Heard Sri P.V.L. Bhanu Prakash, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri R. Vinod Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Corporation Limited, appearing for respondents 1 to 4, and Sri Sampath Prabhakar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, appearing for respondent No.5.
When the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners so also the learned Advocates for the respondents that the issue in the present Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order of this Court in Writ Petition No.32614 of 2015 dated 18.12.2015. A copy of the same is also placed on record along with the Writ Petition as a material paper. In the said order, at paragraphs 4 and 5, this Court held as under: "Although it is stated that the judgment of the Division Bench referred to above is pending consideration in the Supreme Court, subject to further directions which may be issued by the State Government of Telangana or the Supreme Court in the matter, the respondents shall release individual service connections to the members of the above apartment complex on payment of requisite charges within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
AVSS, J W.P.No.5766 of 2017 Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed with the above directions. No order as to costs."
Following the above said order and for the reasons recorded therein, this Writ Petition is also allowed in terms thereof.
Office to enclose a copy of the order, dated 18.12.2015 in Writ Petition No.32614 of 2015, to this order. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed. No order as to costs. _________________ A.V.SESHA SAI, J 20th FEBRUARY, 2017.
