Heard learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Revenue and learned Government Pleader for Home.

The cancellation of pattadar passbook of the petitioner by the order, dated 12.01.2012, of the Tahsildar, K.Kotapadu Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, the 4th respondent, as confirmed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam District, the 3rd respondent, in D.Dis.No.152/2013/D, dated 10.12.2015, is questioned by the petitioner by filing a revision petition on 28.12.2015 before the Joint Collector, Visakhapatnam District, the 2nd respondent. It is stated that a stay petition is also filed along with the revision petition and the necessary interim orders are required so as to protect the interests of the petitioner. It is further submitted that in view of pre-occupation of the officers, neither the revision petition has been notified for hearing nor the stay petition.

In matters of this nature, this Court has been directing the revisional authority to fix an early date for hearing within a period of one week and pass appropriate orders atleast in the stay petition. When the similar order was intended to be passed in this case also, learned Government Pleader for Revenue submits that all the officers in the Visakhapatnam are presently occupied with International Naval Fleet Review and submits that the 2nd respondent shall fix a date for hearing the revision petition as well as stay petition and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks.

Keeping in view the submission made by the learned Government Pleader for Revenue, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to fix an early date for hearing the petitioner's revision petition as well as the stay petition and after notice to the petitioner pass appropriate orders atleast in the stay petition within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Within the period of two weeks, as stipulated hereunder, the impugned order of the 3rd respondent, referred to above, shall remain stayed. However, the same would not preclude the 2nd respondent from hearing the petitioner and passing appropriate orders in the revision petition and/or stay petition, as directed. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
