ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioners/A1 to A4 seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.824 of 2015 on the file of I Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Khammam, Khammam District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 498-A IPC and under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, against them.

2. It is alleged in the charge sheet that A1 at the instigation of other accused used to harass the de facto complainant physically and mentally subjecting her to cruelty by demanding additional dowry. Based on the complaint, a case in Cr.No.77 of 2015 under Section 498-A IPC and under Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, was registered against A1 to A4.

3. Heard and perused the material on record.

4. In view of the serious allegations made against the petitioners/A1 to A4 in the charge sheet, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the presence of petitioners 2 to 4/A2 to A4 except first petitioner/A1 before the trial Court is dispensed with except on the dates whenever their presence is insisted by the trial Court and they shall be represented by their counsel on all hearing dates.

5. With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed

of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
