HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 20185 of 2017 ORDER:
1) The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 1st respondent in not considering the representation dated 12.06.2017 for extension of parole for a period of two months with effect from 20.06.2017 as illegal, arbitrary and violation of rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India. 2) At the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader for Home placed on record an order passed by the Government rejecting the request of the petitioner for extension of parole.
3) In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed, giving liberty to the petitioner to avail the remedies, if any, available under law. There shall be no order as to costs.
4) Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
