M.S.S.Ramachandramurty v. The Union Of India
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.GANGA RAO WRIT PETITION NO.6798 OF 2018
O R D E R
(Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) The grievance of the petitioner/party-in-person, a senior citizen of 66 years of age, is that O.A.No.643 of 2014 filed by him before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad Bench, is not being disposed of. The petitioner/party-in-person would inform this Court that though orders were reserved in the said O.A. after complete hearing, the Bench, which heard the arguments, demitted office without pronouncing the final order and his O.A. is still kept pending.
Given the fact that the judicial policy ordains that priority should be given to cases filed by senior citizens, we are of the opinion that the petitioner/party-in-person is entitled to early hearing of his case. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of permitting the petitioner/party-in-person to make an appropriate application in O.A.No.643 of 2014 before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad Bench, seeking expeditious hearing of his O.A., be it for grant of the main or the interim relief, as the case may be, and in the event the petitioner/party-in-person makes such an application, we trust that the Tribunal would give priority to his case and take it up for early hearing and disposal. No order as to costs.
