This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioners-accused seeking to quash the proceedings against them in C.C. No.656 of 2013 on the file of the Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Nizamabad District, for the offence under Section 498-A I.P.C.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners-accused and the learned counsel for the 1st respondent-State, apart from perusing the material on record.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the subject matter in C.C. No.656 of 2013 was compounded before the Lok Adalat on 01.10.2014 and resulted in acquittal of the accused and the cause in this Criminal Petition does not survive for adjudication.
