THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION Nos.5977 of 2009 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the demand made by the Assistant Director of Mines & Geology relating to the payment of stamp duty.

On 20.03.2009, this Court granted interim suspension of the order, dated 18.02.2009, passed by the respondent insofar as it relates to payment of stamp duty, on condition that the petitioner shall pay the deficit stamp duty as per Clause 31(a)(ii) of Schedule 1-A of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899.

It is represented by the learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner paid the deficit stamp duty as directed by this Court and the period of lease was also completed and accordingly, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition.

Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
