ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the representation of the petitioner dated 12.06.2015 whereunder he sought conversion of the post from Non-Technical Work Inspector to the post of Technical Work Inspector, as arbitrary and illegal. The petitioner was appointed as Non-Technical Work Inspector in the respondent-Corporation and his services were regularized in the said post. Thereafter, the petitioner was appointed as MIC and as of now he is working as NTWI/MIC in Palasamudram Mandal, Chittoor District. While so, the petitioner passed T.Engineering (Civil) Examination, which is equivalent to Diploma in Civil Engineering from the institution of Civil Engineers (India) Ludiana, in February, 2012. The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, vide proceedings dated 16.

09.2008, recognized the degree/diploma conducted by the Institution of Civil Engineers (India), Ludhiana, as equivalent to Diploma in Civil Engineering. The Government of India, Ministry of HRD, Department of Higher Education, Principal Secretary to Government, Irrigation & CAD Department, State Board of Technical Education, AP State Council of Higher Education also clarified that the T.Engineering Course conducted by the Institution of Civil Engineers (India), Ludiana (Punjab) is equivalent to Diploma in Civil Engineering, which is approved by the AICTE.

Inspector.

The grievance of the petitioner is that though he acquired the requisite qualification for conversion of the post from Non Technical Work Inspector to Technical Work Inspector, his case was not considered and the representation dated 12.06.2015 made by him is pending before the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 12.06.2015 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
