Heard. With the consent of both counsel this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

Petitioner is working as Assistant Project Manager (Community Coordinator) in Indira Kanti Pathakam.

On 18.09.2009 petitioner was placed under suspension. Suspension was revoked on 19.06.2012. By memo dated 20.09.2010 a charge memo was communicated to the petitioner. The grievance of the petitioner is that the disciplinary proceedings are not concluded so far and on the ground that disciplinary proceedings are pending, the pay of the petitioner is not revised and increments are not granted.

When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a direction be issued to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a fixed time frame. He further contends that on account of delay in concluding the disciplinary proceedings, great prejudice is caused as revised pay scale is not extended and the increments are not paid and petitioner is made to draw only the old pay for no fault of her. 4.

It appears from the material enclosed to the writ petition that the disciplinary proceedings, were initiated in the year 2010 and as asserted by learned counsel for the petitioner, those proceedings are not concluded so far. It appears from the representations submitted by the petitioner that for no justifiable reason there is long delay and the disciplinary proceedings are yet to be concluded.

Having regard to the averments stated in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and the material papers enclosed, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings, if not already concluded, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
