THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.566 OF 2019 ORDER:

This contempt case was instituted alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 21.02.2019 passed in W.P.No.30670 of 2018. By the said order, this Court set aside the impugned Memo dated 16.08.2018 and remitted the matter to the State of Telangana for consideration afresh. It is now stated by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Forests that pursuant to the aforestated order, the Government of Telangana considered the matter afresh and issued G.O.Ms.No.26, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development (PTS.III) Department, dated 20.04.2019 according permission to the petitioner and his wife to contest in all local body elections under Section 294 of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018, as a special case.

In the light of the aforestated development, the contempt case is closed. No order as to costs.
