When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned standing counsel for the respondent corporation submits that during pendency of the writ petition, the services of the petitioner were regularized with effect from 01.07.2009 and, hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

In view of the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
