HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION NO. 26571 OF 2015 ORDER:

The petitioner states that she is the absolute owner and possessor of the premises bearing No. 1-4-73/2D, Sneha Nagar, Habsiguda, Uppal, Ranga Reddy District and she constructed the residential house in the year 1996 by obtaining municipal permission from the concerned authorities. The respondents gave electricity connection to the said premises and she paid an amount of Rs. 2,30,641/- towards estimated cost of service connection for extension supply. When the respondents are charging with unit rate three times more than normal charges and insisting for production of occupancy certificate from the municipal authority, the present Writ Petition is filed.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents on the basis of instructions submits that as per the orders of this Court in other cases in W.P.No. 32906 of 2014, they withdrew the practice of collecting three times more than normal charges and they are collecting only one time charge as unit rate. He further submits that the respondents decided to adjust the excess collection in the future bills.

In view of the statement made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed recording the statement of the learned Standing Counsel. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
