Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. The writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not providing any suitable alternative employment as per Section 47 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, to set aside the same including the letter, dated 19.11.2015, issued by respondent No.4 and to direct the respondents to provide any suitable alternative employment to the petitioner, as per the said Act, including all service benefits and payment of salaries for the employment period.

4. Though the writ petition is filed urging various grounds, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation, dated 22.11.2015, made by the petitioner at the earliest. The same is not disputed by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

5. Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to dispose of the representation, dated 22.11.2015, made by the petitioner seeking alternative employment, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this

order. There shall be no order as to costs.

6. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
