The claim of the petitioner is that his father while working as Superintending Engineer in the respondent-Organization, died on 01.04.2015. The employee was survived by his wife, an unmarried daughter and petitioner. Petitioner obtained degree of Bachelor of Technology. Petitioner submitted application on 07.09.2015 seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. The grievance of the petitioner necessiating institution of this writ petition is that so far no orders are passed on the said application causing lot of hardship and suffering to the family of the deceased employee. 2.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the respondents.

Since the application submitted by the petitioner is so far not acted upon and no orders are passed, the writ petition is disposed of without expressing any opinion on merits, directing the respondents to consider the application stated to have been submitted by the petitioner on 07.09.2015 regarding provision of appointment on compassionate grounds, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
