ORDER:

The petitioner-Society has been granted fishing rights in the Kaverivagu tank of Vinjamoor Mandal for the period from 1.8.2009 to 30.6.2009. It is the grievance of the petitioner-Society that inspite of granting fishing rights for the said period, the fifth respondent addressed letter dated 27.4.2009 to the Station House Officer, Vinjamuru Police Station at the instance of the third parties and based on the same, the petitioner-society was not allowed to carry on fishing operations. Hence this Writ Petition. This Court while admitting the Writ Petition on 1.5.2009 granted interim suspension of the operation of letter of the third respondent dated 27.4.2009.

As can be seen from the pleadings as well as the material on

record, the rights of the petitioner-Society to carry on fishing operations is for a limited period, i.e. from 1.8.2009 to 30.6.2009. On account of the grant of interim suspension by this Court and also on account of efflux of time, the petitioner-Society enjoyed the benefit of fishing operations during the period in question. In that view of the matter, no further orders need be passed in the Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is therefore closed. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
