This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief: - "To declare the action of the respondents in not providing 2+ 2 Gun Men to the petitioner by considering representations dated: 15-12-2015, 26-12-2016, 23-11-2017 and 27-01-2018 as bad, arbitrary, illegal and consequently direct the respondents to provide 2+ 2 Gun Men to the petitioner."
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Sharat Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the State of Telangana for the respondents. The material available before this court discloses that for redressal of the grievance of the petitioner herein, the petitioner submitted representations to various authorities and one among said representation is dated 23-11-2017 addressed to the Superintendent of Police, Nalgonda. According to the petitioner, no action has been taken on the said representation despite lapse of considerable length of time.
In view of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the 4th respondent-Superintendent of Police, Nalgonda to verify the representation, dated 23-11-2017, submitted by the petitioner herein and take appropriate action within a period of four(4) weeks from today.
No costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any , shall stand closed.
